portland

so last weekend when dave and beck were driving back up to portland we had dinner... yes some of my siblings like to see me, or at least pertend they do. and we decided when im off for 2 weeks starting july 6 i should go to portland for a few days. so i am. in a week ill be in portland. cant wait! i need out of here and out of the heat! its been miserable here! 105 to 111 for 6 days! finally its back down to the 90s.

Yeah! My last day of teaching is over. I enjoyed John 7:37, "Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." and the footnote "The last day here signifies that all the enjoyment of any success in the human life will end. there is a "last day" to every king of material thing of the physical life." Now it is time to start drinking! :)

hey guys.. nice pictures dave and becky! We're in Anchorage after just having dropped off mark and kelly. Had a great visit with them. looking forward to some alone time for a week til my folks come. summer is flying by. lots of fishing, oh and caroline ross wants a kayak! Kayaked around yukon island with mark and kelly and now i'm obsessing about getting one. just looked at them at rei.. hhmmmmm

Good Times in the LBC

This is Dave and his newest niece, Alexa. She is 3 months old here and her mother would kill me if she knew I posted a picture of her without any clothes on!

These are atop San Gorgonio, the tallest mountain in Southern California. It was a pretty brutal climb but we made it! San Jacinto is the mountain looming in the background of the one of Dave. Whenever I drive I10 now, it's pretty cool to look up at these two peaks and remember the view looking down on them. Good Times!

Howdy everyone!
So there's that section to the right for links that we may want to add. So if anyone has a personal website or something they'd like to share, I am leaving the edit-me part so you can figure out how to add it. The html is toward the very end of the code but it is there. New phone service

Guess what? Mike and I just signed up for an international phone plan for $4.00 a month. We can call anywhere in the world for 10 - 15 cents a minute. To call Shanghi, it will be only 10 cents a minute. We hope to vist Tami and Billy in the spring. Anyone else wnat to come with us?

Tomorrow is my last day with students

Tomorrow I will be signing yearbooks with middle school students for the last time. Yeah!

This picture of Holly was taken at a wedding last month. I had to share it because she is looking so good. She will start back to work July 10th. Mike and I look forward to eating dinner with Holly and John on Saturday evenings. It was great last week because Dave and Becky were with us. Dave and Becky are here for the week :) They hiked Mount San Gorgonio today. We are waiting for them to come home.

This is fun! I am glad we have something to keep in touch... especially as billy and i will be galavanting the globe for the next while.... Yay- two months from tomorrow we head off for our adventure in China! Anyone want to visit?? We are hoping to have a two bedroom flat... everyone is welcome! :)
