That time of year again!

Well it's canning time again. I'm trying new recipes this year and I'm at jar fifteen and counting.
We only have three more weeks until the Sierras so it'll be a short year. I'm still trying to decide if I can squeeze in a batch of saurkraut. I'm sure your all eagerly awaiting the outcome.

Salmon Salmon Salmon! and a trailer

Finally we got the trailer for Mike's boat! Very exciting! And also got 12 Sockeye salmon over in China Poot this morning.. Dusting off the smokers and canner. Woo Hoo... hope everyone is well..... love you guys

were definately looking forward to alaska... leave in less than a week! yesterday it was 109 here. cooled down to 80 overnight.... soooo not okay with me! me and the girls went to kenny chesney the other night... would love to post pictures, but someone stole my camera.... welcome to california... caroline leaves hers on her car and drives away and someone returns it to her... mine is on a blanket at a concert and someone takes it. oh well... got a new one, not that we wanted to spend money on one right now. hope all is well with everyone!

I think someone needs to apply at Mary's club!

Driving the Rainbow

I went out on the boat i worked on last week and drove the boat for awhile! I got really sweaty and nervous because there where a bunch of passengers that we picked up across the bay in Seldovia! It was super fun to be back out though. Hopefully the whales will be in full swing by the time the family comes!

Greenpeace

The Esperanza, the biggest ship in Greenpeace's fleet was docked in Homer for a few days. We went out for a boat ride a few days ago and checked it out. It's been so so nice here. I hope we're not using up our sunshine now and it doesn't hang around for the Becky's wedding. Crossing our fingers. Last year this same thing happened, beautiful weather for weeks until guests started coming. Really wish Dave, Becky, Billy and Tami could make it. We were looking at pictures of the winter Ross visit to Homer and are really excited to show you the summer!
Mike put a new starter in the scout and its running great which rocks, but again makes me miss Dave and Becky :( There were a lot of photo's in the albums of that scout back then and it's great to still have it in the family. We'll see if we can hold on to it until you visit d & b!
