What Dave's Been Up To

Hello All,

Just some pictures of some of the cool things Dave has been building in his shop.

This one is titled "Cigarette Table" and was made for our friend Steve. Dave used left over wood from some of Steve's work projects to make it. It is on Steve's front porch, on the deck that Dave redid for him.

These are of a smoothing plane that Dave made. He bought the blade and built the frame. This picture was taken just before Dave ruined the plane by taking too much off the bottom.

This is Dave's finish carpenter's toolbox. There isn't any metal in the thing (other than the tools) or as Dave likes to say, "This baby's all wood..." He uses it at work to keep all of his tools nearby.

This is from our first trip out on the canoe. We took it out on the Willamette out of Milwaukie. It was a great trip. Not too many motor boats or other people. We leave today for a few days of canoe camping in Central Oregon. Must be in between terms for Becky!

Love you guys, dave and becky

Fine looking work. I got a couple things done on my boat and put it in the water last Saturday, caught the first halibut of the season, and a new boat record on Sunday (35#). Time to start working on rockfish (and posting pics on the blog)
