Family from Germany in town last week, was awesome to have them over and toast my Oma who passed away last month. 
Hey family! Well we are feeling more settled and moved in to our new place. We really like it! The balcony is huge and so is the apt. It's really sunny and bright, but also really breezy and cool, which is awesome, and a ten minute walk to the train stop which we will be taking for work. Big adjustment to be in the city, but we have only been here a week and already hiked Baden Powell, and camped and hiked in Idyllwild, so the trade off is pretty okay so far! We don't start work for another three weeks and are planning on doing more hiking and camping and possibly road tripping up to Portland for a few days too. Eli looks great! So glad to hear everything is going well. It was great to see the family in Sacramento! Yet another reason that this transition will be good. Well hope all is well with everyone! Great that the blog is back in action. Let's keep it that way!

WoW! Thanks for the update! Is that your patio? Dad and I got our bus passes yesterday :) Dad is 65 so his was free. Mine was $60 for the year. Dad said to tell you that you are not the only ones who will enjoy public transportation this year. We will think of you as we board the bus for our 7 minute ride downtown :)
