I just had a wonderful month off of school. A friend from the US visited for a week. Then I went to Germany and Russia for 10 days. Then Billy and I went to southern China for 7 days to visit with his relatives for the Chinese New Year holiday. It's been a wonderful whirlwind. I start school again next week. I am looking forward to getting into a regular routine again. :) Here are some pictures of the past month....
This is Debbie and I in Moscow at the train station... it was around -10 degrees the whole time I was there and snowed nearly everyday. It was a winter wonderland!
This was my welcome back to China... fish balls, and entire duck (including the head) etc. in a hot pot. This pot is on our table. Underneath is the burner. You add all of the surrounding ingredients and watch them cook... then you eat as they are ready. The worst part was the chicken head, which one of Billy's second cousins devoured before our eyes!
This is Billy and I in the courtyard of a hutong (houses built around gardens and courtyards) in the southern city of Tongli. It is an ancient city with beautiful ancient buildings. We got to look through several hutongs. A number of Chinese (and foreign) movies have been filmed in this town because of its remarkable architecture....
BYE FOR NOW~~~

Glad to hear you are doing well over there and the the travels were safe. The pictures are totally cool. In mexico, we had some dishes with parts of animals in them that I hadn't thought sounded very good. I didn't eat very much. Take care, becky
Thanks for the pictures. Time to hit the books again. :( Love to you both,
