Well we had a great time in Big Sur. It was perfect weather and excellent company! Nice walks, delicious meals and some GREAT laughs as per usual. Hope you guys had a good drive home! Love you so much! Carol, hope you're feeling better and look forward to seeing you too. Love to all!

Happy New Year to all! Billy and I spent a rather memorable New Year here in Beijing... the night started by taking a taxi to the closest McDonalds to eat a Big Mac for dinner... the real pinnacle was what followed---- about 4 hours of Chinese TV where people performed all kinds of **exciting** things...(like the 15 people who all got inside of a ballon in 300 seconds to break a world record----except a leg was hanging out at the 300th second, and therefore they didn't beat the world record).
Yup. Down right memorable.

I sure can! We found (yet another) proxy server to get around the censorship (which is getting ever more annoying). Sooo... until the government finds this proxy server and shuts it down, we can see everything!! YAY! As for Big Macs-- the price is about 1.50 USD. Not bad... :) Our Chinese friends all believe that Americans eat hamburgers as a staple... like the Chinese eat rice. I shocked them when I told them that actually I have never made hamburgers for dinner in American, and Billy and I don't like McDonald's and NEVER went there when we lived in the States! However... living here... as I looooong for ANY familiar taste, we have been to McDonald's about 10 times! :) YUCK! heee heee... but I must admit it tastes mighty fine when the choice is that or some greasy Chinese food!
