Dearest Family~~ :)
We bought our tickets this morning. We will be leaving Beijing on April the 4th. Our plan is to stay with Dad and Mom until Thursday morning the 10th. We are hoping to stay the night with Brian and Becky the 10th (and visit with you that afternoon/evening). We will then leave for Seattle the morning of the 11th (very early). We are wondering if that night (Friday) we can have dinner with Dave and Becky in Portland. Then on to Seattle late that night. Billy does not have a job yet, but he has been telling prospective employers that his is available to start work the 14th of April... so if we arrive in Seattle Friday night late, we can get ourselves slightly on our feet before he starts work the 14th(if he really does--heh heh).
So can everyone let us know if those dates work! If not....uh... we will be available in Seattle for anyone to visit anytime!! he hee....

Good timing. Mike and Caroline will still be in town. You may see everyone in the family before getting back to Seattle. Lucky you! I wish we could go up the coast with you. We still haven't been to David and Becky's place.

You're more than welcome to join us on our drive!! Of course our car will not fit you two plus luggage. :) Unfortunately, I am going to have to do all of the driving, as Billy's license expired nearly a year ago.... and therefore no one will insure him! SOOO... it will be a rather long journey... all in two days! :) We are excited to get to see the whole crew! :)
ill put in a request for that day off! shouldnt be a problem, as im the one employee that doesnt have set dates... makes life easy for me!
Mike and Caroline-- Are you guys still eating dinner at Dad and Mom's once a week?? When can we see you guys when we are there? Wednesday night? Let us know. We want to be sure we see you. :)

Billy has spoken with numerous companies in Seattle already, and has been telling them the same start date. Quite honestly, if he doesn't have a job by the time we leave (which is still over a month away), then we aren't in a huge rush... I just thought you guys were the ones that needed firm dates. One issue he has come across is that companies like him when they call, but then when they hear he is in China and cannot begin for a month, they say, "Sorry. This is an immediate opening. We will call you in a month if it isn't filled." So, we need to get to Seattle... whether he has a job or not. :) The firm dates are because that is the start date we have been telling people (including a few companies that are still very interested) and I thought you needed something more firm. :) So that is why we aren't planning to take our sweet little time.
I will put in a request to have that Wed, April 9th off. That is the Wednesday you're talking about yes? That should work, is that the best day for you? We'll definately have a couple of days off that week, but the schedule isn't out yet.

if you're going to drive without a license you don't need insurance. you don't have to stop for stop signs or red lights either.
:) Yaa... that will definitely speed up our trip to Seattle... I'm pretty sure they don't require you to watch the speed limit either. I'm pretty excited about that. :)
Monday or Tuesday night might be a bit better, because we will be leaving early Thursday and I don't know if we will be doing last minute things Wednesday night... If you have the option, those one of those would probably be better.... but Wednesday could be fine, we will just have to be on the ball and all packed up and prepared to leave. :) Let us know when you find out, so that we can not plan anything else the night you are free.
