I saw a black bear! don't get excited, theres no picture
So exciting.. today i was walking on the spit, and when i was getting back to the base there were all these cars stopped and people gawking... and yup a black bear was walking all around in the mud flats... so cool! Mike is out right now subsistence set netting with our friend John(that he fishes with) right off the spit and they already have fifty!!! We'll be dealing with fish the rest of the night! Yikes... Awesome though!

Next time take your camera. How big was the bear? I saw a mama black bear with her cub in Mineral Springs a couple of years ago. I agree. It was awesome! (Sorry we have been out of the loop for a few days... retirement is too much for us :). Are you up all night with the fish? Is Mike selling them? What do you do with so many?
