Pictures!

YAY! It worked! So... this is us on Tiannamen Square. We are in front of a memorial to the Communists who died fighting off the Nationalists in the 30s and 40s. Behind the memorial is Mao's enbalmed body on display (we didn't get to see it... but will before we leave China). There is no marker as to the tragedy that happened on this Square in the 80's.

This is us on the Great wall... a little look out area. Isn't my hat great?! :) It was sweltering and it was also a MAJOR hike walking the wall.

OK~ this is my favorite. It is showing you just how steep the Great Wall is. It follows a mountain range... I mean "follows". They didn't cut into the mountain or anything.... you have to go STRIAGHT UP in certains sections... it is scary! So this is a picture to show you.... craziness!

This is another section of the Great Wall.

This is a part of the Forbidden City.

This is another part. :) The forbidden city is in the heart of Beijing and is where the emperor and his servents, mistresses, helpers etc. lived... it is a massive fortress.

OK.... more later. :)
